Tryout Ricoh R8

Well, sister said she wants to get a digital camera, so I research around and found that this Ricoh R8 is quite value for how much it costs. The design of the camera is simple but nice, controlling is easy to get your hands on, last but not least, it can achieve a nice depth of field even it is just a compact digital camera. As a dslr user, I am quite happy for the build of this camera. Since my sister went back to kl for studies, I would test out this camera for her, haha.

妹妹說要一台數碼相機, 於是我看了看, 雖然很喜歡canon g11 和 panasonic lumix lx3, 但是價格似乎太貴了一點, 所以看了Ricoh. 在batu pahat, Ricoh哪裡找? 就在巴士站對面的嘉業, 看在老闆的關照, 這裡給你打了廣告厚~! 機身的設計簡單, 沒有華而不實的設計, 控制容易上手, 而且為一台數碼相機它可以達到不錯的景深. 以自己是個dslr的使用者而言, 這台相機真的還算不賴, 雖然image quality沒有很好, 但整體來說是不錯了. 妹妹會去吉隆坡念書了, 所以就讓我來幫她試試看這台相機的功能吧~

Well, this TF2 optimus prime is the first transformer toy I own, I used to think that transfomer toy is badly build, the paintjob is not nice, the plastic is kinda cheap with the visible cutting line and so on. But after I bought this one, I found that, OMG, this is a brilliant design, ha, I can't simply transform it with my own "wisdom", So...I am going to get the Jet Fire next time, then I can combine them.

這驚天柱是我的第一只變形金剛, 以前小看了這個玩具, 因為覺得它的品質不太好, 色澤不美, 複合的地方不精細等等, 還賣這麼貴. 但是動了動厚, 發現原來它貴在整個變形的概念, 真的是設計得很不錯, 強~! 以我的聰明才智, 不看說明書, 根本沒辦法將它變形, 下次要買哪只飛機火伯伯了.

很开心自己出身在一个城市与乡下的交集之处， 因为这让我的生活有更多的经历。在我还没出世前， 婆婆在家旁还养了猪和火鸡， 那猪寮现在还存在呢。 我家是典型的乡下格式， 木板和洋灰砌成的。 我出生后， 婆婆就没养猪猪和火鸡了， 因为得养我， 所以就这样我被叫做ah-bi， bi是来自马来语babi(猪)的bi。

家后面就是龙华住宅区， 先前是个大片的橡胶园与油棕园。小时候的早晨，坐着父亲的蓝色yamaha80在崎岖的山路间， 仰头看着那往消失点伸展的橡胶树干及透过叶子的光线， 是幅难忘的画面， 虽然都以成为记忆，但仍然犹新。

由于家旁边有条小溪，所以有时候水獭会顺着溪水出来找食物， 印象中，也看过5-10次吧， 但龙华住宅区完成后， 就没再看过了。 现在蟒蛇偶尔还会来探访我们的鸡寮，因为森林里没东西吃了。。。。。

I am happy to live in a area where close to nature and not far from city. Before I was given birth into this world, my grandma kept pigs and turkey next to our wooden-cemented house, after I was born, my grandma don't keep them anymore, I guess maybe she wanted to spend more time keeping me, that's how my nick name ah-bi came, it was babi(pig in malay language) initially.

My house located close to Taman Perdana of Batu Pahat. There is a small river by my house, over the river, guess what? it's an old chinese cemetery...creepy right? But we are all fine with that, that cemetery is not really a terrifying place. Before Taman Perdana existed, it was an estate of palm oil and rubber trees. When I was a kid, my dad always ride me on his blue yamaha 80 going through the estate in the morning, the sun ray passing through the luminous leaves was such a beautiful scene, and of course fresh air that's mind cleansing. However, these pictures were drawn in to memory.

Sometimes, beavers would travel along the river and "visit" us, well, so far I saw it like 5-10 times, but not after the residential area was completed. Well, python still pays visit to our chicken coop for supper sometimes. Monkeys are the most self-welcomed animals that hang around our rooftop, having fest with our grown fruits. Well...how bout let's see some photos?

Concert of Symphony Band | 演奏會

才從飢餓三十回來的第二天晚上, 和學妹seylee去看了一場柔甲獨中管樂團觀摩會的演奏會. 她竟然說是畢業後第一次看演奏會...

因為先前聽學生說什麼學校在趕工進行音樂廳的建設, 好在讓這次的演奏會可以在新的音樂廳進行, 我也很想體會在這音樂廳看表演. 所以, 我們晚餐後浩浩蕩蕩的上了華中, 結果發現, 怎麼車子這麼少, 以為自己早到了, 還在完美樓那裡晃了一下, 上個廁所.

步入活動樓, 爬了兩層樓, 有個看門的小同學在哪裡, 我於是上前問到音樂廳的所在,
我: 嗨,請問音樂廳在哪裡啊?
小同學: 音樂廳就在上一樓
我: 哦, 謝謝~!
(我們跨了腳步要上樓)
小同學: 但是....今天的表演是在宴賓樓喔~
我: 是嗎~!??? 不是在這裡麼??
小同學: 昨天的演奏會是在這裡, 今天的在宴賓樓
我: 哈哈哈哈哈 (真是烏龍到~~~)

還好宴賓樓就在學校對面, 要不然可就遲到了. 雖然沒有在新的音樂廳看到表演, 但是在宴賓樓看也不錯, 而且驚喜的是, 我們本來只以為是學生們表演, 原來還有來自台灣的青年管樂團~! 他們的演出真的是很棒, 指揮很有動力, 還有個很厲害的伯伯獨奏小號, 很佩服他的肺活量阿~! 哈哈. 整個演奏會裡的曲目基本上都是經典曲子, 只有華中管樂團呈現的迪士尼經典配樂比較耳熟能詳.

After came back from Famine30, me and my junior Seylee went for a concert performed by symphony bands of independent school from Johor and Melacca, together with a band from oversea, the symphony band of Taiwan's youth(this is my own translation). The Taiwan's band's performance is very nice, there was this old man about the age of 60, soloing trumpet, it's stunning~! Most of the music were classical except the compilation of disney classical is the most familiar one.

It's nice to have seeing this kind of performance once a while, having ourselves relaxed and enjoy the wonderful rhythm.

Wide Angle Pasar | 廣角.巴剎

之前在好攝論壇里發表了之前拍的巴剎照片. Eddie Chang 和 Lit Chin 攝心大起, 就提議再到巴剎去拍, 所以我們就約好了上個星期六早上摸黑出門, 6am我就和學弟/愷娥弟, 國建到了巴剎一帶, 先去咖啡店吃個早餐, 然後再與兩位前輩集合.

大約六點半七點, 我們就開始拍攝了. Eddie 和 國建很善於跟巴剎里的小販交際, 聊天, 拍個微笑或大笑的特寫; 而我呢, 由於比較內向慢熱, 所以只好靜悄悄的拍, 加上我這次的目的是用才買不久的的廣角鏡來拍攝, 重點放在拍整個巴剎氣氛與事物.

這次的拍攝感覺很不錯, 是第一次跟 Eddie 出外拍, Lit Chin之前見過一次面, 而開始跟國建有交談, 也是因為攝影; 雖然我們素不相識, 但因為共同的興趣把我們帶到巴剎拍照, 哈哈, 就好像蔡導阿DICK哥和他一群LOMO GANG一樣, 我少許體會到那種氣氛.

對於這次的照片, 還算滿意, 雖然很多都是重複的角度但不同的店面或攤子.

Last week, I posted the photos shot last time atPasar of Batu Pahatin the forum My Photo City. Eddie Chang and Lit Chin suggested for another outing to shoot Pasar. So last Saturday we woke up early in the morning, 6am and went for the shooting. My junior, who is my classmate's brother Guo Keng also joined the shooting, we had our breakfast at a Kopitiam near pasar while waiting for Eddie and Lit Chin.

We started our shooting around seven o'clock. Eddie and Guo Keng love socializing with the hawker in the market, gossip and joke with them and took some close up shot; However, due to my "shy" characteristic, I shot silently. Anyway, my purpose of this shooting is to capture the pasar scene in my wide angle lens, which I haven't buy back in last shooting of pasar.

This is a great experience of out door shooting, though I never knew Eddie and Lit Chin, but the love for photography bring us to a common understanding, capturing the precious moment.

I'm quite satisfied with the shots, thought most of the angles are the same.

四灣島小班聚

阿聯兩個月前就建議來個班聚, 於是他和秋瑾就策劃了這一切, 有勞你們倆, 尤其是秋瑾, 謝啦~

我們再次回到四灣島, 但這一次, 我們已經不是中學生, 想當年, 我們是乘著同一輛巴士一起去的, 現在是開著車去的, 感覺已經很不同了. 以前在巴士上, 可以玩鬧在一起(雖然我都在睡覺), 現在分四輛車出發, 我想應該是互相在聊著互相的八卦吧, 呵呵~

到了地點, check in後大家休息了一下, 便跑去海邊打球踢球了, 突然很懷念以前傍晚時分, 在中學禮堂前, 我們圍成20人左右的圈子, 練習排球的畫面, 站在中間的就是那幾個排球社的. 而我和愛上攝影的李廣, 就拿著相機晃著, 拍了幾張, 不想拍了, 於是把相機放回房間, 還是跟大家玩球的好, 哈哈.

晚上吃了不是很飽的一餐, 而且很貴, 覺得去batu的泳池火鍋吃會更爽, 哈哈. 所以晚餐後我們幾個馬上就去媽媽檔喝茶了. 過後, 幾個在海邊唱歌彈吉他, 幾個在談情說愛, 幾個在打pes, 然後不知不覺, 累了, 入房睡覺. 那冷氣是冷到~~~~~凌晨把我凍醒了, 就一個人去客廳裡的沙發上睡, 因為 累>看日出的衝動 , 所以我還是選擇睡覺, 隔天還得開車回家.

隔天, 和李廣到了附近的一個小小漁人港拍照, 然後回到住處再跟大家拍照, 然後就浩浩蕩蕩啟程去新山了, 很不幸的歸心似箭的stephen竟然把車退得太快, 碰上德哥的車, 哈哈, 也還好沒啥大礙, 一點點凹陷而已. 去新山, 一方面得送要回新加坡的kc, william, chengxi 和 guangyu, 另一方面, 我們去city square哪裡吃午餐, 哈哈. 在久違了的kim gary用了午餐, 結果.....還蠻難吃的.... 為了安慰一下, 於是打包了兩打Jco的甜甜圈回家, 哈哈(其是兩打並不多, 我吃了3個, 大弟吃了5個, 半打給了叔叔, 半打給了朋友). 還有, 也很不小心的踏進padini concept買了一件polo T.

過後就回到batu了, 大家是累到~~~~~晚上都不想出來幫靜薇慶祝生日了, 哈, 但是結果大家還是出來了...靜薇, 你可要感動啊~!
